The Tamiment Library will remain closed during the spring 2021 semester due to New York University’s COVID-19 protocols. We are not able to schedule any in-person appointments for external researchers at this time.

For those who want limited access to our collections, our staff is continuing to work onsite in a staggered schedule and can provide remote reference on your behalf. In order to begin assisting you, please create an Aeon account by visiting https://aeon.library.nyu.edu/logon. Please reply to let us know when your account is created and then a member of the Special Collections team will contact you to begin processing your inquiry. Please note that there is a substantial backlog, but our colleagues are doing their best to work through all of the requests.

We also encourage instructors to email us at tamiment.wagner@nyu.edu if you are interested in scheduling a virtual class during the spring semester. There are plenty of digitized materials from the ALBA collections, and we are eager to help students use our online resources.

Although our building is closed to the public, we are still hosting free virtual events throughout the semester. Email us if you have an idea for a program for either this semester or for the 2021-2022 academic year.
