Spanish singer and songwriter, Javier Molina, has recorded a new version of “Jarama Valley”. He explains that he decided to record this song for two reasons: because he always liked the “Red River Valley” tune since he first saw John Ford’s “Grapes of Wrath” and also because his links to the Spanish Civil War and the deep gratitude he feels toward the International Brigades.
Molina has slightly adapted the lyrics from several versions. This recording was inspired by  Bruce Springsteen’s performance on “We shall overcome” and “When the saints go marchin’ in” with the Seeger Sessions Band.
