‘We condemn the murder of George Floyd’ is a moral truism. Of course you would condemn the brutal murder of an innocent man! As you would raise your voice against the practice of burning people alive. Or against racial inequality for that matter. Publicly and explicitly condemning an act that nobody in their right mind would applaud, serves no other purpose than to glorify one’s own moral rectitude.
